Avoid Tustin Costco Tire Center at All Costs – Unethical Business Practices and Theft I visited the Tustin Costco Tire Center to replace the two front tires on my vehicle. I already had two new Falken tires on the back with a tread depth of 9 mm, which did not need replacing. I explicitly told the staff that I wanted the old Blackhawk tires, that had a tread depth of 2mm, removed from the front and replaced with the Costco tires. Luis acknowledged that my back two tires, the Falkens, did NOT need replacing and that they would go ahead and replace my front tires, the Blackhawks. Instead of honoring my request, the technician named Cristhian C. removed my two brand-new Falken tires and installed Costco's Goodrich tires on the back. He left my old, worn-out Blackhawk tires on the front—the very ones I had asked to be removed. When I confronted Costco Tire Center about this clear mistake, their response was appalling: “Oh wow, that’s strange. From the paperwork, it does look like you asked for your front tires to be removed, but your Goodrich are on the back, and no rotation was done. When I walked in the store, there was no one in the line and at the counter. A few minutes later a guy came over from the back and stared typing on the computer. In the meantime a couple came who had an appointment and they were taken first. Then another guy with appointment walked in and he was attended next. I literally waited in the store for 20+ minutes and no one cared to greet me or ask me what I was there for. I understand that they give priority to the people with appointment, but there was no acknowledgement for people who walked in. After asking the guy how long it will take for a walk-in, his response was that they don't talked walk-ins. I was very frustrated. At least they should have told me in the first place, so I could just go and be on my way.

Ordered my tires through Costco online, got them delivered here and they install for free. Seemed like a busy day but my wait was only a little over an hour. Super chill and friendly group.

Blew a tire on the freeway and was able to crawl our minivan over to this tire center. They had the tire in stock and were able to complete the repair same day before closing. But, tires here seem much more pricey than where we usually go (America's Tire). Cheapest rear tire was just under $300. They also seemed to be short staffed at the time.

Very poor service and zero responsibility. On January 9 I replaced all four tires here for over $700. The next day I discovered that one TPMS sensor stopped working — the dashboard showed “No data”. On January 10 and 11 I returned several times, waited over 1.5 hours, spoke to different managers each time, and felt like I was talking to a wall. No one listened. They eventually confirmed that one sensor was not working, but refused to cover the cost. I was told that Costco would not pay for the sensor, and that I could either pay for it myself or take the car as is. Since I needed a functioning vehicle, I had no choice but to pay $66. This is a common issue after tire installation, yet Costco Tire Center takes no responsibility for damage. Be aware — you may leave with new tires and a problem they won’t fix. ⭐ Do not recommend.
